Everyone has been hurt. A lot of people unintentionally hurt others because they are unaware as they live unconsciously, therefore they do not even realize they are being hurtful…their perspectives in life had an effect upon them where they lack some awareness, compassion, or perhaps they cannot contain their suffering, by acting out subconsciously.

Then there are people who get a thrill out of seeing people suffer or in causing pain to another, they feel “powerful”…these people are very sick. They are so damaged within, that their suffering spills over and is obvious to the world around them. These people have likely been emotionally abused by someone…perhaps abused in other ways, and instead of growing from it, they reach outside of themselves for addictions, materialism, plastic surgery, etc…because they are so afraid to go within.

In this post today, I want you to understand that everyone is doing the best they can at their level of consciousness. In order to have compassion, you must understand this. Now, I am not saying you need to become a martyr or spend time with these people, but it is so important to be kind to them…they are already suffering…do not add to their pain.

I have been through this, and had to let go of an old friend. I will always care about this person, but she is unwell in so many ways. It is sad to feel like you have abandoned someone, but you must love yourself first. Some people do not want others to be happy, but that is sadly because they do not love themselves, or have any self worth. Be kind. Always.

Love you all!

By now, most of us have heard the news: grateful people are happier, healthier and generally more fulfilled.

And while these are all really great side effects of gratitude, for me, one of the coolest things about gratitude is the way it affects the heart. The heart creates an electromagnetic field that expands up to five feet from the body. Its electrical field is 60 times stronger in amplitude than that of the brain.

Studies show that when people cultivate positive feelings, the heart’s frequency changes and its waves become smoother and more consistent, while anxiety or stress caused waves to be shorter and less organized. Though most positive feelings were capable of affecting the heart in this way, researchers noted that gratitude changed the heart’s rhythm more easily and faster than any of the others.

What’s more is that this frequency can even “entrain” hearts and brains nearby. It’s especially likely that the heart with smoothest, most “coherent” frequency will be the heart that other people sync up with. So if you’re cultivating gratitude, it’s probably that you’re changing the feeling state of those around you for the better too.

Basically, even when we aren’t aware of it, our heart is constantly communicating with those around us. But as complex as it all may seem, intuitively, it seems that humans have been aware of this chatting between hearts for quite some time.

It may be the reason we say we’re having a “heart to heart” with someone when we’re engaged in an intimate, sincere conversation.

Researchers have reported that hearts between lovers sync even when the lovers aren’t touching or conversing. The same goes for heart frequencies of unborn babies and their mothers.

So when Jim Rohn said, “You’re the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with,” he made an interesting point indeed. Our bodies are talking. And physiologically, it’s gratitude whose message is the loudest. We’re affecting each other in ways we may have never even pondered.

Choose your company wisely, but find comfort in the idea that gratitude has a way of trumping all. Keep gratitude flowing in your own heart, and you can change the world around you without lifting a finger.

There are two basic emotions: 1) Fear 2) Love. All other emotions derive from a fear based thought or a love based thought. Jealousy, anxiety, depression, anger, hate…are examples of derivatives of Fear. Love based emotions are peace, joy, compassion…which of course result in a much happier life.

If you were to take inventory of your thoughts and emotions, which force drives you the most: Fear? or Love? Your outer world is a reflection of your inner world, so be honest…are you happy with your life or could you stand to shift over to a more Love centered way of living?

Share your thoughts or questions with us if you wish…this is just a tiny intro to a theme of discussions we are planning to open up.

Sending you love and light!!

Whether bullying has taken place in your childhood or adulthood, detrimental effects can result. You may have been bullied by other kids, your parents, siblings, teachers, etc…or you may be experiencing bullying in the workplace as an adult. Either way, the way you perceive and respond to bullying, or should you be a bystander, we can all make a difference and help to not only eradicate the bullying epidemic, but we may also prevent disease, dysfunction and mental health issues in the world today.

You are likely wondering how it is possible for bullying to lead to something so serious as a cancer diagnosis or heart disease, but it is highly possible. Our mind/body connection is so very powerful and when we link our life experiences, our belief patterns, our emotions, thoughts and habits together, with the biochemistry of our bodies, we have a powerful connection amongst every part of our being. Just as we can experience disease and dysfunction through our life experience and belief patterns, we can also experience healings and the miraculous, when working with the affected person as a whole being.

When someone has been a victim of bullying, the thoughts, emotions, cells and organs become toxic and dysfunctional, should they perceive the bullying experience as detrimental and a personal attack (which most people would view the experience this way), however, if working with the subconscious mind and shifting the belief patterns and perceptions of the experience, you may heal the cells, organs and entire being and never experience any illness mentally or physically.

With Hypnosis, NLP and Psych K, one’s belief patterns can shift completely in a short period of time, transforming your life dramatically, making a huge difference in your potential and destiny. Whether you receive a diagnosis, or become homeless…it can be as extreme as that. This can happen to anyone who experiences abuse of any kind and accepts the abuse as a direct result of their worthiness or lack thereof.

Obviously, the ones who are inflicting the abusive behaviour upon others, are suffering within as well. They have low self-esteem and self worth, and they very well may have been victims of abuse and bullying in their own lives. Therefore, the likeliness of a “bully” getting diagnosed with a mental or physical illness is high. If only people realized the detrimental effects their words and actions have upon others, as well as their own health and overall destiny, the awareness would create a halt in this behaviour, or at least have those inflicting the suffering on a mission to seek the help they require to discontinue this behaviour and to allow themselves and others to shine in their very own beautiful authenticity, divinity and uniqueness. we all deserve to feel safe in this world. We all deserve to live a life of soulful expression. no one has the power nor the right to demolish the hope and well-being in the lives of our children, our elderly or anyone, for that matter.

If you or someone you know, suffers from the effects of bullying, please download an audio program suitable to them and their situation. Here are the following links to creating miraculous transformation within as little as 28 days!

When I think about 2013, I not only recognize the incredible healings that took place for numerous clients, but I am also deeply grateful for my own healing. In 2013, I finally learned to set healthy boundaries. For my entire life, I felt responsible for other people’s health and happiness. I would tolerate disrespect and I was so guilty of people pleasing. I finally realized that when I am not loving and honoring myself first, I am welcoming the disrespect and the one sided relationships. I realized that by not speaking my truth and following my heart’s desires, I was not only hurting myself, but I was being dishonest with anyone in my life whom I spoke in ways to “please”and avoid conflict. I was always guilty of also caring more about their health and their lives than they did…which of course, never worked out! I would carry guilt for them being so unhappy and unhealthy.

I am proud and very happy to say that I have let it all go! I even ended a life-long connection to someone who suffers greatly within. This person has some good qualities too…but can be very hurtful with words and actions, and very vindictive because of her inner turmoil. Once the trust is gone…you must let go. I still love and care for her, but I am no longer willing to tolerate disrespect.
My husband also helped me to recognize the unhealthy patterns of people pleasing and tolerance I have had with not only this person, but in general.

Fortunately, I have not had to cut ties with anyone else…I have a tonne of amazing people in my life! But I surround myself with people who are genuine, kind and loving. Relationships are about give and take…it is a two way street. And people who disrespect you certainly are fooled by their their illusion concerning your ability to intuit or perceive their phoniness and self-serving behaviours…eventually, you will stop people pleasing and move on. Once you do this, you will be so liberated! It is so worth it! It must be done with compassion, not vengence…just let go.

I even learned to be more liberated with my work. I will work with people, but if they are not willing to make the necassary changes for optimal healing, I know that I am not responsible. I will do my part, but they must be willing to do theirs for best results. I once had a client (with serious cancer) look me in the eyes and say “I ain’t becoming no vegan”…and for once in my life, I did not carry the worry or the responsibility…I simply said “:Then you are responsible for your level of healing”. As much as I want people to heal and be their best selves, I cannot do it for them.

I have bought books for people, I have listened to them complain about their lives, I have witnessed their desperation for acceptance and approval through countless plastic surgeries, the mocking of their own friends behind their backs, the manipulative behaviours and self-destructive habits…I have tried…but unless you are willing to walk with me on this beautiful life path to empowerment, healing and self discovery…I cannot do it for you. However, I am more than honored and thrilled to guide you if you are ready!

Hopefully, you will learn something from this blog…love, honor and respect yourself. Gently set boundaries, speak your truth and live life on your own terms! Life is too short…don’t live a lie and don’t carry guilt or regrets. Honoring your life is a priority…enjoy the journey with those who love and honor you in return. Bless your hearts and souls! Happy 2014!

Why We Don’t Use the Word “Bully” to Label Kids

Post date: October 23, 2013
By: Erin Reiney, MPH, Health Resources and Services Administration and Susan P. Limber, Ph.D., Clemson University
“That kid is a bully.”

We have all heard someone utter these words at one time or another, but is it fair to label a child?

Why We Don’t Use the Word “Bully” to Label Kids

The labels bully, victim, and target are used often by media, researchers and others to refer to children who bully others and children who are bullied. Yet, you won’t find these terms used in this way on StopBullying.gov. For example, rather than calling a child a “bully,” our website refers to “the child who bullied.”

Some have asked us: Why does it matter? Isn’t it easier to just say “bully?”

We can certainly understand wanting to use shorthand terms, since it feels a bit clumsy saying “the child who bullied” or “the child who was bullied.” However, here are several important reasons we avoid using labels like bully and victim:

1. Using a label sends a message that the child’s behavior doesn’t change from one situation to the next. Actually, a child may play different roles in bullying, depending on the situation. She may bully a younger child on the bus on Monday, watch anxiously as a friend is verbally bullied on Tuesday, and be bullied herself online over the weekend. Research confirms that a small but worrisome group of children are regularly bullied but also bully others (Limber et al., 2012; Nansel et al., 2001; Salmivalli & Nieminen, 2002).

2. Labels suggest that behavior is fixed and is unlikely to improve over time. Fortunately, behavior can change for the better. A 2nd grader may frequently bully a classmate but, with help from teachers and parents, could stop this behavior by 3rd grade. Nevertheless, the label may have “stuck” and could be associated with him through his elementary years and beyond.

3. Labels can be harmful to kids. In her book “Mindset: The New Psychology of Success,” Stanford University psychologist Carol Dweck notes that labels can limit how children see themselves and how other children and adults see them. She argues that every label sends a message that tells children how to think about themselves. Too often, the messages say, “You have permanent traits and I’m judging them,” as opposed to “You are a developing person and I am interested in your development.”

Both positive and negative labels can cause problems. According to Dweck, “when you’re given a positive label, you’re afraid of losing it, and when you’re hit with a negative label, you’re afraid of deserving it.” These labels may also affect how others treat children who are involved in bullying – even if they describe the behavior using other terms, such as “fighting” or “drama.” When children are labeled as “bullies,” it may signal to their peers that they are bad kids who should be avoided and it may give adults permission to show scorn. Similarly, when children are labeled as “victims,” this may send a message that they are weak or deserving of pity – when what they may actually need is help to stop the bullying.

4. Using labels may suggest that bullying is purely the “fault” of the child and allow us to ignore other factors that contribute to bullying behavior. Although individual differences in temperament and personality may play a role in children’s involvement in bullying, there are many factors that make bullying more or less likely, such as peer influences, family dynamics, and school climates (Kowalski, Limber, & Agatston, 2012; Espelage & Swearer, 2011). To reduce bullying, it is important to focus on all of these factors.

So, the next time you are tempted to use the terms “bully,” “victim” or even “bully-victim” as shorthand labels for children involved in bullying…don’t. Focus on behavior, not on the label.

Many of us think we can be everything for everyone. We take on far too much responsibility, while we ignore the signs that our bodies are trying to show us…exhaustion, overwhelm, unhealthy cravings, addictions, memory loss, diminishing mental clarity, breakouts, weight gain, poor quality sleep, pain, depression, mood swings…the list is endless. So we keep denying or numbing what the body is telling us…until one day…a diagnosis of diabetes, multiple sclerosis or cancer is our new path. Can you imagine adding this to the overwhelm? Although, a massive heart attack or stroke can be the result as well…what are we all waiting for?

Taking time for you is essential. Laughing with friends is essential. Honoring your body by nourishing it with healing foods is essential…don’t deny yourself of these needs. we all must live in a state of harmony. Our environments must be peaceful, sacred spaces…if they are not, then you must take action and create the sacred spaces required for you to feel you have entered a haven of revitalization when you arrive. Equally important, is the people who are present in your environments…at home and at work. If you are living in conflict with someone in your space, this will drain you immensely. You must change your perception of these people to one of compassion and understanding with proper communication and an open heart, unless of course you are required to sever ties for reasons such as abuse, etc. love yourself enough to honor where you spend your time and with whom. Boundaries are healthy when necessary, but surrounding yourself with the right people is nonnegotiable if you are to live a healthy, vital life. Love and connection is an imperative need for all of humanity.

Your body doesn’t lie…if your temple is talking to you…you better listen! Take inventory of your life: what are you feeding your body and mind with? Are you drained after being in certain spaces or with certain people? Are you not getting quality sleep? Do you do too much for others and nothing for yourself? Are you trying to do EVERYTHING at home, work, in activities…do you need to prioritize and delegate what you cannot handle?

If you are a caregiver, you must realize that premature death is very high if you are burning yourself at both ends of the candle. And imagine…if you have a sudden stroke or heart attack, who will be there to take your place…and to take care of YOU?
